Steve Wargo is the head of Controversial Pictures. Starting out as an extra on several Hollywood Features like Used Cars, The Gauntlet and Cloud Dancer, he turned to video production in early 1982 and shot parts of a feature in 1990. He concentrated on television production, producing Let's Talk Sports for it's entire broadcast run and was a segment producer for ESPN Speedworld and On Pit Road for 8 years. Wargo shot his first complete feature film in November of 2002. He has since worked behind the scenes on several reality TV programs and shot the pilot for Cooking's A Drag in 2005. In July of 2005, He shot The Hoax for Eric Torres, followed by The Controller in August 2005. He is presently working on his own screenplay but has recently been hired as Producer on the biography of Alison Hicks in Backspin. Wargo's Controversial Pictures, is based in Arizona. His right hand man is Matt Rasmusen, who graced the halls of Collins College and they are joined by Amanda Hostetler, a graduate of The Art Institute in Phoenix and Chicago. Wargo had a tightly wound production crew that gets things done without all of the wasted time you'll see on many production sets.
